Sunday Issues

Dear Beautiful readers,

It was quite a disappointing night last night. Why?

a) It turned out that my car broke down, at it's parking space! I had that feeling earlier though as I left the car at home for almost one week without asking anyone in KL to look after it. (Nak suruh sapa?)

So pagi2 lagi aku dah "accidentally" woke up from my deep sleep and searching for that 24 hour service call centre.

Yes! It did work and around 0700 hour, the mechanic came and asked me to change the battery.

Sah2 battery kong! It's ok, better sorry now than later..

b) I am missing someone...

Dear Beautiful readers,

ARAB insisted to pick me up at KL Sentral at 6 p.m. I didn't want to trouble him and didn't mind to take cab to home, but since he's willing to pick me and send me home, then I accepted his offer without saying much.

We stopped for a while for early dinner (I had early lunch at sis' place around 11 a.m.) and that's why I was kind of hungry once landed at LCCT.

And now I am at home.

Laundry - Done. Checked
Kemas Umah - Half done. Half Checked (To be Continued tomorrow)

Slow & (Steady)? - Part II

Dear Beautiful readers,

I was quite surprise when I read the newspaper this morning, when the CEO of CELCOM claimed on the bad reception of CELCOM coverage/network throughout the country yesterday.

hah! No wonder laa it's terribly hard to make phone calls / to send text messages / to send mms etc yesterday! (Another reason on why I was a bit pissed off yesterday!) Hehehe...
ARAB did tell me the same thing yesterday and now we got the answers..

Anyway, I went out with my younger brother after Friday prayer to do some last minute shopping. Managed to grab that NIKE bag (necessity) and a pair of comfy Hush Puppies slippers (impulse buying..maybe?) Pics will be made available later!

It's time to pack up. Looks like i'll bring back an extra bag full of foodstuff!

Slow & (steady?)

I was a bit pissed off yesterday (not to a greater extent, but slightly pissed off).
One thing I realised about being in Kelantan for the past few days that everything was so slow!

a) Long queue at ATMs - It's either we have less ATMs here or too many people queueing (memang ramai org beratur nak ambik duit or people take too much time thinking on how much money they want to withdraw, which option(s) they want to choose etc! Argghhh!)

b) Cashiers - Again...it's the same issue as queues at the ATMs. I don't want to say that the cashiers weren't not that effective (tak baik tau..). Something that we have to ponder..it's either Kelantanese are very fond of buying too many stuff at the supermarkets, or well...the "production lines" aren't that efficient? (Kad Pacific ado abe?)

c) Traffic - Yes, it's festive season. The KL traffic has flooded into the KB town. Can u imagine that? If driving in kampung2, have always to bear in mind the motorists (those yang bawak motor cam bercinta - slow gila!!) and also those yang tak ingat dunia bawak motor (pelesits!)

d) Eating out - Kopitiam ke...food outlets at supermarkets ke..I think the service is the same! It takes so long for the waiter(s) to come and get the orders. Same thing happened last year too..
And i think some of you might agree with me too..

What else eh? Nanti laa nok pikir!

Shopping di Pasar Besar Siti Khatijah

Yes, it's 4th day of Syawal and some people have started working, regardless of where is their current location.

And i am still at home, resting (hehehe...bila lagi kan?)

I went to Pasar Besar Siti Khatijah to buy some food stuff to bring back to KL. And it was quite an amazing experience and I am proud of being a Kelantanese (bukan semangat kenegerian..bear with me!). I like the way these people carry on with their business, they don't even care what other people say / see, but they keep continuing their business with high determination and spirit.

Enjoy some of the pictures that I have snapped during my 1-hour stint at Pasar Besar Siti Khatijah..

I wish I can be like them, although none of my "nucleus family members" involved in business,be it directly or indirectly..

P/S: I was fascinated with the two pics as above. I was cracking my head on what does the name means...it's like being in treasure hunt or something. It's probably a printing shop, or the office / base of local newspapers.

Anak Halal / Di Sudut Gelap Mentari

While being alone by myself at home and there's nothing much to do, the best thing that I can do is of course, watching TV.

I know that Anak Halal will be on TV tonight but I have seen it before (I even have its DVD).

The story is different and yeah, it's the reality (in some parts..)

3rd Syawal

Dear beautiful readers,

Today was the most unproductive raya for me I think.

Well...I wasn't complaining, there were nothing much to be proud of anyway.

Initially, I thought of going to my friends' (both hubby & wife are my friends) open house in Pengkalan Chepa. But due to my laziness and not so willing attitude of facing the bad traffic (yeah...it was really crazy!), I ended up staying at home. (Sorry Akhram & Linda, we'll meet in KB laa deh before going back to KL nanti!)

And at this point of writing, I was alone at home, all my family members went to other "warih" (i.e. relatives) house for majlis solat hajat. I didn't plan to go, just resting at home..

No special pictures were snapped today (and that's one of the reasons why i said today was quite unproductive..heheh)

P/S: First time ever last night I saw a cat being "knocked down" by a car..."gelepar2" kucing tuh...sambil terkeluar dia punya biji mata!)

2nd Day of Syawal

Another posting with no pics. ;)

Just an update of what happened since this morning.

0900 - 1400 hour: Open house at sis' place. - Nasi Dagang with variety of dishes, cakes and kuihs.

Mengantuk kekenyangan bak ular..

1830 hour: Fakh came to my house for raya. It's glad to hear that Fakh and Abah had good conversation (at least,something they have in common to talk about or else mati kutu laa kan?)

2100 hour: My niece and nephew's birthday celebration (which was about the same as mine, 7th and 15th September respectively)

1st Day of Syawal

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar..
Alhamdulillah, now it's the time for the Muslims, all over the world to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr.

And this is the time to strengthen the relationship, especially with the loved ones.It's time to forgive and forget. It's kinda weird too to eat and eat, as we had been in Ramadhan for the past 1 month. Should have adjusted the "sistem penghadaman" accordingly though.

Menu? Well...typical Kelantanese menu for raya: Ketupat Daun Palas, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Himpit with Kuah Kacang (together with satay of course), Nasi Minyak etc. I rarely see lemang here, probably it's not really our speciality in this east coast region (and I m not really a big fan of lemang though..)

Raya Eve - Sepetang di KB

I won't write much, just want to simplify my activities for the day:

1100 hour: Me and my two nieces went to KB Mall to buy some groceries and other stuff. Saw Wan M with a friend, probably doing some last minute shopping before raya.

Ramai org queue nak bayar..

Ni je aku beli actually..

1300 hour: Continued with the house chores and my nephew wanted to follow me back home. Haha...i knew that he will be bored soon, although he's actually occupied with my iPod Touch. Got a phone call from Fakh, asking me whether I can accompany him to buy the sampins at Bazar Buluh Kubu. I am fine with it, let's go.

1445 hour: Met Fakh at Bazar Buluh Kubu. I nearly bought another sampin, but thank God I didn't. Fakh bought two...


1530 hour: While waiting for the sampin to be sewn accordingly, me and Fakh went to the KBTC (the acronym for Kota Bharu Trade Centre, another new famous "landmark" for KB). Bought few stuffs, and then headed back to Bazar Buluh Kubu.

Bought a pair of flip flop (untuk "basahan" bak kata oghe kelate)

1700 hour: Yeah, we have done with Bazar's rendevous, now it's Asar time. First time ever, I went to Masjid Muhammadi, I have passed by the mosque before but never had a chance to pray there. It's soothing..Bought a pair of kain pelikat for Ayahanda.


1800 hour: F called, asking where were I at that point of time. He told me that he might be going to Perdana Resort PCB for iftar with family, so i told him probably he can book a place for me and Fakh for iftar.


1908 hour: My last day of iftar at Perdana Resort PCB. Managed to call ARAB before that. :-)


2030 hour: Reached home, and continued with the chores...
2200 hour: Beres!

At this point of writing, I am already in KB.

Yes, i m at my parents' place, right here in KB!

Arrived here this morning,coincidentally I took the same flight as AH (Hey buddy, u dah beefed up eh skrang? Happy kut with your other half...hehehe). So we managed to talk for a while at the airport..

The night before that, I went out with ARAB for sahur at nearby place. The sambal ikan bilis was superb indeed! I think next time i'll get that sambal and pre-packed (for home made nasi lemak at home, haha!) And later at 3.30 a.m., ARAB sent me to KL Sentral to catch the 4 a.m. (at that wee hours!) bus to LCCT. (Well....kang nanti tak sempat nak catch the earliest flight!)

Thanks so much my dear ARAB aka boss, i'll owe you one! (nanti balik KL I'll settle that...what do u want from KB?)

Ramainya umat manusia kat LCCT

As expected, there were so many people in the airport (both in LCCT and KB airport). Oghe kelate kalau raya memang laa meriah...nak kasi jam lagik jalan2 kat KB nih..hahaha.

I managed to do some groceries shopping in KB Mall (beli sayur kat KB Mall, what's the motive?) and spent the afternoon napping at home :-) (as a result, I lost the opportunity to go to Baram at Stadium KB for the pics snapping! Argghhh!)

"Ermm...i'm single, can i pay at this counter?" haha!!

Later at night, after settling all those things with my nieces and nephews, Wan M called me. We went out to the nearby kopitiam (with another friend of him, also working for the same company as Wan M and myself). Wan M brought the souvenir from London as promised and I passed him the stuff that he asked earlier (his friend passed it to me though to be delivered to him...)

3 layers iced-tea (nice indeed), the kerang was actually for Wan M and another friend, not me..

F aka Mr from My Eyes joined us later, followed by another 2 friends of him (aku tak kenal sgt, but the other party does look familiar).

Well, there's one more day to go. Ramadhan's leaving (it's kinda sad) and Syawal's approaching.

Jom Balik Kampung!

Heheh..tak sabar nak balik kampung. I am supposed to be on leave tomorrow but due to my boss's request (she's arranging a meeting tomorrow, for God's sake!) so I have cancelled my leave.

Anyway, I m leaving for my hometown on Friday morning...in fact, I have already packed some of my stuff (and have passed some stuff to my bro to bring back to KB)..

Nothing much though, kinda happy, a bit.. (Senyum meleret..."meow"!!)

it's just a simple meal, cukup laa untuk sorang..

a) Nasi Goreng Malas with ayam (hehe..oghe kelate kato...nasi goreng "bodo", betul ke eh?)

b) Banana Fritters (nama glamer bagi goreng pisang..) hehehe

Birthday treat for a Loner

I haven't got anything for my birthday. Yeah, i do have to pamper myself. While wait for others to do that for you, rite? You can do it on your own what? :-)

I am no one...unless I am a celebrity, lain laa kan?

I went to Melium Outlet in Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Cheras. This was my first time, but I have heard about this place before..but haven't got a chance to go there. I received an invitation to go there, why not? who knows that i can get a good bargain? Anyway, it's for me...

It's like a gudang, situated in a SME manufacturing area. Tak ramai sangat pagi tadi...so I can browse with ease..

Feel like getting another pair of shoes, but takpelah...next time maybe. Nihlaa keje2 loner cam aku :-(

Anyway, managed to get a good pair of sandal from TOD'S (at good price, of course!) . Love it!

P/S: Aku rasa....semalam Lailatul Qadr'. Tapi being me, a humble and hamba Allah yang daif, sememangnya tak mengambil this peluang keemasan..Astaghfirullah Halazim.

2nd Day - Life as a 31 year old guy!

It's Saturday, yes! Another rest day.

Pretty laid back, as I don't really feel like going out today except that probably later in the evening for the routine visit to nearby "BaRam".

Went out last night as my ex-colleagues for drinks treat. Me, Reen, SAO, Mar, Mir and his fiancee met at Coffee Beans, Pavi. Well, it's good to meet up once a while, catching up on each others' latest updates and exchange good old days ' stories.

And that's about last nite...end of story!

And now, it's about today..

Went to Ampang Point before buying food for iftar. Managed to buy baju raya for my nieces and nephews. I do feel good on the spirit of buying and treating others, especially for my nieces and nephews, and of course, mum and dad..

Birthday Blues..

I was quite shocked though, an ex-colleague of mine has put a birthday card on my table this morning. It was cute though...

While watching TV last night, around 11ish, I received a text message from the secretary of my big boss:

Kak D: "Bole tak tolong akak solve math ni tak? A shopkeeper sold a refrigerator for RM 1,120. He lost 20% of the cost price. What is the cost price of the refrigerator?

Hehe..

It's for his son, who's going to sit for UPSR Maths paper the next day, which is this morning.

And i returned back her call,

Me: Kak D, the answer is as follows, 80x/100 multiply by RM 1,120.
So, x = (RM 1,120 x 100) / 80
x = RM 1,400

Suka gila anak dia dapat jawapan from me.!

I felt good though :-)

P/S; It's tough nowadays for kids to have sit for the papers in English. But I think there's more pros than cons. InsyaAllah..Good luck for adik2 / anak2 (bunyi cam tua je aku!) who's currently sitting for UPSR

Oh No! Not again!

Dear Beautiful readers,

It's Monday again. And it's a working day for those in KL, including me. Not like those fellow people in Selangor, Kelantan & Terengganu! Lucky for those people especially those in Selangor, they had experience 2 consecutive long weekends...best!

Anyway, quite a hectic day (but manageable) at work today. But I didn't realise that I have to stay back due to last minute request from my ex-staff to review her work (the other superior was on leave, I was told!) All of a sudden, at 6 p.m. when I was trying to pack up and finished my Asar, she called and asking for my assistance..

She sent the file TWICE via email to me, and it was WRONG. Gosh..come on, lady...now who's fault? Sabar je laah...but calmly, I assisted her until 6.30 p.m., although I couldn't stand any longer as I haven't bought anything for my iftar.

And guess what, due to this, I ended up having McD again for my iftar. You know..I won't have much time to rush to any BaRam (short word for Bazar Ramadhan) at that point of time due to the distance (and of course, timing).

Hope that tomorrow I can have better menu for iftar. Anyway, Syukur Alhamdulillah...at least aku dapat makan :-)

MATTA & Vouchers

I have to redeem my vouchers latest by end of this Sunday or else it will be useless. So I have decided to check out good bargains for me and buy something for Abah.

And later I took LRT to PWTC for Matta Fair. It's been quite a while that i haven't used LRT. And yes, of course, there were quite a number of people in both LRT and PWTC itself.

I wasn't looking for any particular travel bargain, just recce-ing tickets for sis as she's planning to go to Guanzhou this coming December. ER did ask me to check for ticket to Manila as well.

Hmm....the price of the ticket is the same if you buy online via those sites. So I told my bro in law to just check out the bargains via the website.

And all of a sudden, I met Lin, accidentally! We supposed to go for a treasure hunt today in Shah Alam (with the hubby of Lin as well, also a good friend of mine) but the organiser didn't allow us to join as Lin has won one of the treasure hunt organised by the same organiser?

Funny eh?

Lin: Beb, so sorry, the organisers called, said I can't join, since I won a hunt recently, this only for newbies.

Lucky Day? Alhamdulillah...

TGIF!

The day went smoothly and the big meeting that supposed to be in the afternoon has been postponed this coming Monday. Phew...ALHAMDULILLAH!

But even if it has been postponed to the next day, I still have to be prepared..

This morning pun aku sempat pi kiosk bayar zakat while on my way to post office. It's RM 7 in KL this year, but zakat fitrah memang kena kasi pun..

after work, I went to ISETAN to check out that BALLY sales..and guess what, taraaa...And guess what again, i got cheaper price as they wrongly put the different tag on the shoes and i saved about RM 200++!!) Unbelievable...and those people who's in charge confessed that it's their fault and i managed to get that good price! ALHAMDULILLAH!

Reached home and I realised that kakak didn't open her stall. So I have to find alternatives to find food for iftar. I can actually go to Bazar Ramadhan (it's not really far, far but the traffic was bad) so I ended up buying McD for iftar :-)

P/S; It's a lucky friday..Alhamdulillah!

Ngantuk but why?

Ntah kenapa semalam ngantuk gila. Aku makan sempoi je...but I don't know. Nak kata ada setan, semua dah kena belenggu. Nak kata bernafsu? ermm..tak laa sangat. :-)

Lepas aku makan nasi lemak and 2 karipaps for berbuka, and terus nak tido! Slept at 8.30 and woke up at 1.

Adoi...

It's not a big deal...maybe aku nak rehat kut :-)
