Eid Mubarak!

I think it's time for me to wish Eid Mubarak, although I know some of my dear readers might have to work during raya (sob...sob!).

Anyway, I should have gone back to my hometown today in KB this morning, but due to some work commitment, then I have to postpone my journey tomorrow morning.Hope everything will be smooth.

Buka Puasa @ Work (2nd Time)

Dear Beautiful Readers,

Bored huh? Aku takde idea, but I feel like writing..

Another buka puasa day @ work. Before cuti raya nih...banyak benda kena settle. I went to see the big boss this morning and took the opportunity to ask on my latest status of transfer to the HQ. He said that it'll be materialised, and it's just matter of time. But being in this Company, then he said that even if I already received the transfer letter, the "event" might be prolonged, or even worse...will not materialize at all!

And again, it's not really a major problem as I go with the flow and play the "game". But there is another issue on my fellow colleague (not really in my department but in another department). I was quite surprised with what he had done to me and other fellow close friends...no wonder laa takut2 tadi time nampak aku!

Siot betul...

Esok ada program with Anak2 Yatim / Underprivileged kids at my workplace sempena Raya celebration.
Another hectic day laa kut...but most of friends /colleagues dah balik ke kampung halaman masing2..

Buka Puasa @ Work

Dear Beautiful readers,

It was my first time this year in this holy month of Ramadhan that aku bukak puasa kat office.

My meal at work for iftar : Mihun Goreng, Kuih dua ketul, mango juice

Not that I meant to, but I don't know...I feel "obliged" to do that today. And I have done this before.

So it's not really a big deal.


Well...this morning during lunch time, I assisted my staff to arrange the money accordingly that we've exchanged from the banks to be allocated to the staff in our department. It was fun, but in a way, we have to be careful, afraid that we might miscalculate the money. But nothing bad happened.




I reached home at 9 p.m. G asked me out for coffee but I felt a bit lazy to go out.


Anyway, another busy day tomorrow.


P/S: Too many individuals, too many preferences, too many thinking, everyone of us is UNIQUE!

Anak2 buah

Probably because aku kat umah sorang2, then whenever I go back to kampung, the life is totally different!

Aku dah lama tak update my blog. Lazy? No ideas? No time?

Let me summarize all the past activities as per below:

1) Thursday, 18th September 2008

I attended the feedback session in regards to my previous assessment session, which happened on Wednesday, 17th September 2008. I wasn't really satisfied with the outcome.

I wasn't sure whether it's the true me or not.

Initially the assessor gave good remarks on me and all of sudden, dush!! Aku rasa cam the summary wasn't that fair! But anyway, pikir punya pikir...aku rasa, there's a blessing in disguise.

Aku terima je...no point of being in argument with her (rugi air liur je bulan2 Ramadhan nih!)

Petang tuh, aku rush ke KLIA. I'm catching flight to KB, balik kampung and jumpa parents & family members,bukak puasa etc. Lagipun aku jarang balik, in a year I think I can count on how many times I've been with them especially with mum & dad. Biasa laa nature keje aku...(alasan!)

As usual, mum will cook something special. Petang tuh kami bukak puasa ngan nasi beriyani ayam. Macam biasa, umah aku riuh ngan anak2 buah aku laa

2) Friday, 19th September 2008

Aku cuti lagi today. Thank God that i didn't "receive" any "calls" from work.

Bukannya apa, normally kadang2 tuh..cuti macam tak cuti, tuh yang tak best.

I know that there are lots of work waiting for me at work, but for the time being, I just want to chill at home! Heheh

Actually, I was craving for Nasi Dagang and I went to the Bazaar Ramadhan near the Stadium.

Surprise, surprise! No one sell Nasi Dagang there! So ended up beli Ayam Percik & Daging bakar from the famous Yati Ayam Percik. (Sorry takde gambar, aku pening nak snap photos time2 org ramai...)

3) Saturday, 20th September 2008

Shopping day with mum.

Aku bawak bonda pi beli barang2. Well..mcm nih laa keja aku everytime kalau balik kampung, especially time2 raya nih. Tak kisah pun, bonda sapa...bonda aku gak kan?

Petang tuh finally managed to get nasi dagang, went to this another bazaar ramadhan in the town with my younger brother.Kenyang seh!

4) Sunday, 21st September 2008

Time to go back to my workplace. Bosan betul.

Petang tuh aku gi bukak puasa umah Nas & Dilla, siap kena jadik imam isyak & terawih kat umah depa.

Me and the normal crowd, after the prayers, we ended up main Taboo sambil2 tgk bola Chelsea vs MU.

And I knew it's going to rain tremendously!

Yeah..

Memang semalam lebat gila ujan sini, best tido! Tapi teman je takde...;-(

And today, it's MONDAY. I wasn't really looking forward for today as I know that it'll be hectic. But Alhamdulillah, it passed by smoothly eventhough pagi tuh aku macam tak bercakap sangat ngan my staff. Siap one of my staff tegur aku apsal aku tak tegur dia tadi...hehehe

Ramadhan in KL

I'm currently in KL, ada hal keje skit.

Went out with ER for iftar yesterday kat Pavi. As usual, whenever I am with him, definitely there must be something to talk about. Hahah! (Berangan kan i,ER?). Went to Madam Kwan's @ Pavi with ER for iftar.

NASI BOJARI (sedap!)

ABC (typical...but not too bad!) FRIED SQUID PLATTER (nyum2...) Habis Nasi Bojari aku...(nampak sangat pelahap!)
Anyway, Alhamdulillah, my assessment went quite well today (that's what I personally thought!, but the feedback will only come back tomorrow!). We'll see how it goes ya?

I dropped by Toys R Us on my way back to the hotel. Bought the "pending birthday presents" for the three nieces. Dah lama dah depa mintak, aku yang tak sempat2...;-)

I'm leaving for my hometown tomorrow for ramadhan session with the family members.
Now it's getting more expensive to have iftar in KL (i'm not that keen of makan banyak anyway..so I guess, it's not really worth it)

Can't be long. Nak pi bukak puasa ngan Addy.

Jalan, Makan, Main! (Part 1)

Yeah, it's Saturday and it's obvious that most of us are looking forward for the weekends. Rite?
I had a wonderful Saturday yesterday.

Morning: Chillin' at home..nice! But last night I realised that my driving licence was expired so I have to renew it.Went to the nearest post office (thank God there were not so many people!)



Afternoon: Went to the nearby mall and get the games that I wanted before:


a) Taboo! (I just realized how fun this game is for us adult!)
b) Monopoly World Edition (Have been waiting for this since the introduction earlier this year)
c) Boggle (Another simple game...to improve competitiveness, hehe!)



Later, for iftar, my close friends have organised a makan session cum my humble birthday celebration (thank you people!) at one of the ikan bakar's place in Penang! Simply marvellous and wonderful food indeed!

Slept at 1 a.m. last nite. Other than mum who always call me for sahur (she'll call, believe me!), this time Abg A sent me a sms to wake up for sahur..Hehehe. So far, I have only missed one night of sahur.

The Not-So-Big Three Ohs

It's my 30th birthday today and I am wishing myself Many Happy Returns and Selamat Panjang Umur.

There's nothing much I can say, but I would like to thank those friends / colleagues / acquaintances who remembered my birthday and conveyed their messages based on their creativity (some even called me and sang Happy Birthday! not forget to mention all those sweet text messages). This year too I got to know that two of my new acquaintances shared the same birthday! (Happy Birthday K & Yatt) Hehehe!

I don't know how to pamper myself this time. What should I buy for me? Probably I will get something this weekend. Sapa lagi nak kasik kan kalau bukan diri sendiri?

My colleagues and staff gave me a cute birthday card and a simple birthday present for me this afternoon. Thoughts that count.

Taboo!

Dear Beautiful readers,

Pheww...it's a very hectic day today since morning. I have expected this since last weekend.
It's EXPECTED!

Attended a refresher course on business writing in the early part of the morning and one of the slot was playing the TABOO game! This was my first time and I guess, my performance wasn't that bad! Should have added this game to my board games collection!

Alhamdulillah, managed to clear some of the outstanding workload for today. The big boss has not arranged the session with me to explain and update on my "progress". Probably he'll let me know a.s.a.p and I really hope that it will be materialised..

Oh, later in the evening, me and the "team" (SF, Zura & Shid) had the iftar at one of the fusion restaurants here with Abang Lan & Wati, together with Reen, Epol & Azam. We had finalised some of the pending things for the coming events and I guess it's almost "finalised", but we still have to face all the protocols etc. I hope that this will go smoothly.

It's my BIRTHDAY eve and yes, Wati was the first one to wish me HAPPY BIRTHDAY. It was fun, but deep in my heart, I don't really feel the oompph this time! Come on, it's my 30th...I should feel something different, rite guys?

Well...well...well, I hope that, starting tomorrow, I'll face the day with pride and more courage, boost with confidence (but not boasting) and always ready to face the challenge, as I have already entered the "different" age group..

We'll see...how it goes tomorrow!

Wishlists

Dear Beautiful readers,

Aku balik awal tadi. Instead of having iftar at home, i'll be having iftar with friends/colleagues at the nearby golf course. The food was normal, nothing extraordinaire. I didn't enjoy eating very much, just want to be in that ambience and the circle of friends.

Anyway, right after that, I went for the terawih and the friends (some of them went home already) continued their "once-a-week-golfing session-tuesday nite-only" ;-)

I will start my session in this coming October, provided i am still in this town.

Anyway, here are some of the snapshots of the foods.

Errmm..wondering about my "wishlists"? D-DAY is just around the corner!

Penangan Roti Boom

Semalam kan aku makan roti boom, but not during iftar and I had it right after reached home after terawih.
And guess what?

I suffered from bad stomachache early this morning at work, damn it! But there must be a blessing in disguise. Patut ler aku nampak dia punya kuah semacam je semalam....sabar je laa!

No more roti boom for me this time, unless it's after raya whenever that I have the opportunity to lepak at mamak stall after work!

This morning was another hectic day at work, full of meetings to discuss on the outstanding matters and moving forward before finalising things. I had 3 meetings, but I dismissed one...what to do? In this case, I really have to prioritise...

Around 5 p.m. tadi, one of my colleagues (old guy...) gave me some sarcastic remarks, as follows:

Encik N: Aku tak nampak pun hang kat surau..

Me: Saya semayang kat masjid lain..

Encik N: Kat umah kan ada masjid, apasal gi jauh2?

Me: Saja...(dalam hati, aku rasa a bit "angin" jugak laa...)

Encik N: Tak elok gi yang jauh2...

Me: What's the purpose of going to masjid? Nak tunjuk2 ke, or what? (Aku dah naik suara, skit...)

Encik N: Aku nasihat je...jiran ke (He's actually staying in the same housing area as mine..)

TJ (Another colleague of mine): Ikut suka dia laa...God knows which one is good and which one is bad!

Me: THANK YOU TJ, Thank you!

I couldn't really recall other sentences, but I was a bit geram jugak laa...but well, again, i know what's best for me? But come to think of it, why he bothered? Or am i the one who's wrong? Sabar je laa...

And later that evening, I got a bcc email from my HR. One division in our HQ in KL is going to take me for promotion! And hope this will come true, the only problem is that I am hoping that my big boss will release and support me this time, please..please..please!

Tapi kan...kalau dah takde rezeki, what to do? Berdoa laa banyak2...

At this time of writing, I am actually just came back from Secret Recipe with G, E, Kar & F. Another borak2 and joking session. Splendid time indeed with them! E & F might probably take over my house here if aku jadi pindah ke KL...which is POSSIBLE, INSYAALLAH

Shopping Raya (Part 1?)

Dear Beautiful Readers,

I went to Pekan Rabu today with Anep, Shid & Rose, thinking of looking for the Baju Melayu for dad and myself.
Here are the things that I have bought:

1) For me (why 2 pairs? errmm..surprise!)

2) Two pair of cute capals for my two handsome nephews..

3) A pair of green baju melayu for Ayahanda (aka Daddy) ;-)

Meanwhile, I saw this one interesting shop in the building called "Agensi Pencari Jodoh" (Matchmaking Agency) . I wonder whether it works...Hehehehehe


P/S: Will there be any more shopping trips? We'll see!

6th Ramadhan

It's raining again. It has been like this for a couple of days already.

I am not complaining. I am just stating the facts. :-)

Another cheap day for iftar today:

1) Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah - MYR 3.50
2) Kuih 3 ketul - MYR 0.90
3) Air Oren (home made) - MYR NIL

Total - MYR 4.40

Alhamdulillah, so far I managed to control my expenses in this holy month of Ramadhan.



While waiting for buka puasa, I watched the TV Series DIRTY SEXY MONEY and realized the term of "The Italian Banker".

Wanna know more about "the Italian Banker"? Hehehehe

Feel Good..

Dear Beautiful Readers,

It's almost a week now that we're in this blissful, holy month of Ramadhan. Things are pretty smooth sailing, Alhamdulillah but we still we don't know what's next in store, so definitely we have to be mindful and smart in whatever we are currently doing and going to do next.

Another pretty day yesterday. It's Friday anyway, so right after terawih, a group of other friends were asking me out for a game of bowling. Errm..interesting, but well...just go with the flow (although it doesn't sound "nice", but it's much nicer than not accepting friends' invitation).

We had a good time and about a couple of minutes past midnight, we left for early sahur at the famous nasi lemak stall (is it? errmm..i guess it's not!) But we had a blast and definitely I couldn't stop laughing when we talked about this and that and all the connections (actually we're some sort of comparing notes and opinions but eventually the pieces fit gracefully!)

Left for home about 0230 hours and again, thank God that it's the weekend...

P/S: Another lame posting, right? (I could have done better..)

Keep on Dreaming..

Funny things happened to me this morning. I mean...not in the "real world", but in my dream!
That's the outcome! Instead of waiting for Subuh, I slept right after sahur and woke up an hour and a half later.Two dreams within the period, as follows:

Scene 1:
"Me and SF, well dressed in bespoke suits, off from the train (couldn't recall whether it's a train, tube or subway).We walked very fast, and they are quite a number of other commuters, walking at fast pace, like rushing for something. And all of sudden, we were running and I saw some familiar faces, especially my seniors back during my university days!
At the end of the road, we saw 2 British (or might be American) teenage girls, crying...full of regrets! I can hear that they were saying "I am not going to do this anymore!"....something to do with pregnancy?"

Scene 2:
"Me and ER, the setting? Ermm..i think it's like we're in Damansara Uptown or any other places which sell fake designer goods (Petaling Street? I don't think so!) All of a sudden, ER pulled me by holding my hands and we have to run as quick as we can. And guess what? He only wanted to show a pair of very nice Keds sneakers on sale that he's interested on buying!..."

P/S: Why did i dream on this? Well...there must be some reasons. Or it's just a normal mainan tidur..

4th Ramadhan

Dear Beautiful readers,

Didn't manage to go for terawih as I went out to the city for a "buka puasa" and iftar with our potential event management contractor. I hope that they will give a "bang" on this coming event. Thanks to Abg Lan & Wati, they are such cool people!

Anyway, we had the bukak puasa in one of the hotels here. Being me, tak makan banyak..i don't think it's worth it...I mean, all this ramadhan buffet and what not, tapi orang dah belanja and I am just being courteous and professional. And yes, we did have a good bloody time!

On my way back, I think me, SF, Zura, Shid & E did talk about funny things - especially those in our workplace. It's kind of funny when we grouped people as in who are the jocks, goth, teachers' pet etc. We were laughing out loud and yes, if let's say you guys consider this as some kind of "mengumpat", you are wrong...;-)

Well..another busy day at work tomorrow. Hopefully, I can settle a few things easily.

3rd Ramadhan

P/S: Sorry takde pics, tak sempat nak snap2 bulan puasa...:-) Tadi pun sampai lambat from work.
But tomorrow I won't be having my iftar all by myself at home. Instead, me and fellow team mates for the coming event will be having a discussion on the story board with the potential contractor in one of the hotels..

Not really a big fan of this buffet thingy in hotels, pasal aku tak makan banyak...

2nd Ramadhan

I don't have much to tell, but the highlights for today are as per the following:

1) Month end accounts closing - done
2) Things to be discussed with big boss tomorrow - prepared
3) Menu for today: Nasi tomato, roti jala & Popia (all in small portion, bunyi cam banyak kan?)

P/S: It's working day after long weekends tomorrow. Wish me luck..

1st Ramadhan

Dear Beautiful readers,

Syukur Alhamdulillah, I managed to complete my 1st day of puasa. (does it sound that "difficult" for me? I mean...by reading this particular sentence? Normal laa kan?)

I went to the office to complete some work (the month end thingy, as usual) and again, have to come to the office again tomorrow for the final completion, together with the reporting etc. It went smoothly (so far).

As expected, I didn't have much time to go to any bazaar ramadhan to buy some foods for the iftar. Instead, I hopped to the nearby mamak and tapao-ed (my own version, past tense of tapao!) And all by myself, i had my iftar alone at home. The menu is as follows:

1) Nasi Beriyani + Ayam Madu
2) Murtabak (I am not really a big fan of murtabak, but there's no other kueh at that time)
3) Dates
4) Soya bean + cincau

And guess what? I was quite shocked to see my previous posting where there was a comment from Amir Muhammad! Yes, Amir Muhammad the writer!
At least, there's someone extraordinary outside there who is also reading my blog.
