I managed to grab some "best deals" while in Singapore last weekend (although should buy some sports shoes at Queensway..). The shopping experience in Singapore was marvellous, with malls hopping from one to another (dizzy feeling pun ada!).Here are the best deals that I got!

a) 50% Markdown of PRADA shoes (Singapore has better selections than those in KL stores)

b) BALLY Gladiator Sandals (once endorsed by GQ Magazine) - Another 50% off!

c) MUJI stationeries (Pity there's no MUJI stores in KL)

World Cup 2010

Dear Beautiful readers,

Yes, it's the time again. Some people are that fanatic.

Some people are just mediocre.

Some people are just...not really into that.

Me? I can say, I do like it but not that fanatic, not the extent that i have to skip work and staying up late in the wee hours.

People all over the world are getting excited over this. And, with all that qualifiers and also the grouping finalised yesterday, i think it'll be quite fun games to watch, indeed.

Group A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France (My verdict: South Africa & France, but don't underestimate of the "ponchos" power of Mexico

Group B: Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea, Greece (My verdict: With Messi in the Argentine's team, i think it's quite easy for Argentina. It can be between Argentina and Nigeria / South Korea)

Group C: England, USA, Algeria and Slovenia (My verdict: Easy peasy for England! England against Slovenia)

Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana (My verdict: Achtung! to the rest..."kacang" for Germany, probably againts Ghana or probably Serbia?)

Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon (My verdict: Tough group though...although I think Japan might make a comeback, or else, the team will secure the 4th place in this Group! It's Netherlands and Denmark again...)

Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia (My verdict: It goes to the hot Italians against the Paraguay)

Group G: Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal (My verdict: Crystal as clear, it's Brazil and Portugal to qualify further..Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, bla bla bla..)

Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile (My verdict: Spain at the top of the class, against Chile probably...)

Overall verdict: Germany against England, Brazil vs Spain for the semi final qualifiers! Final? Tak berani cakap lagik! Heheh

Migrate or Not?

Pursuant to my dilemma as "reported" earlier in previous posts, one of the actions taken is whether to migrate or not (gila kan?)

I always have this dream of having the opportunity to work overseas.

Yeah, it's proven that some of my friends/colleagues/acquaintances have this golden opportunity at their hands.

Probably they r luckier than me.

Or probably i have to be patient and bersyukur..

Anyway, back to the issue, i was invited for an appointment with a representative of a Company who's in charge of handling professional migrants to Australia. It sounds good to me..but well, it's not that easy and i really have to think that wisely.

P/S: Thanks to "Abe" who is willing to share and give some advice to me late this evening at work.I really appreciate that. Nati duik consultancy awok tuh kito kao tim denge bendo lain deh? :-) (Korang paham tak aku cakap apa?)

It's the time.

Time to say goodbye to Bangkok. A busy, hectic city but yet still full of mystery and things to be explored.

Another visit? Probably just for shopping. But not in the near future. Reached KL on hot Monday afternoon

Bangkok 4th Day - Cili Padi & Gigi?

It's Sunday morning, so we ended up having Sunday brunch at one of the Malay restaurants, CILIPADI in Silom Road. It's the typical Malay restaurant which based in overseas, mcm sepesen je semua all over the world. The deco etc.

I had the nasi goreng ayam and iced milo, and of course, in the restaurant itself..tak sah kalau takde gambar2 ministers / celebrities who had paid their visit to the place ;-)

Probably they want to show the Malaysian authencity. Maybe?

Right after the makan session, we went to the tailor to collect the suits and shirts. We ended up taking cab to go back to the hotel (Thai cabs are so colourful - the Kedah's colour i.e. Hijau Kuning, the pink ones, the tangy orange, the blue ones...and guess what, it's TOYOTA!!)

In late afternoon, i went out alone as I have made an appointment with a dentist in Sala Daeng. It's all for the "benefits of the teeth"..but guess what, I ended up of not doing it, afraid of the complication :-(

Since the appointment has been shorten, instead I went to Siam Paragon and MBK for another last minute shopping :-)

Bangkok 3rd Day - Manicure & Pedicure?

Feeling tired after having "fun" at Chatuchak and as agreed with Kam, we went for another pampering time. It's manicure and pedicure!

I haven't done these two, but it does feel good...:-)

By the way...kat Bangkok pun ada CIMB :-)

Bangkok 3rd Day - It's "Chatuchak" time!!

When in Bangkok, it won't be complete if the visitor don't pay a visit to Chatuchak Market. We took the BTS to Mo Chit Station and came back via MRT (the underground) at Chatuchak Park. It looks similar like all those shops in Rantau Panjang / Pengkalan Kubor but it's haven. U name it!! The indie clothing, the souvenirs, even bundle and dogs!!

Jom gerak ke Chatuchak!!

There are about thousands shops in here.I definitely think that we didn't manage to cover all (plus it's damn hot anyway...thank God I wasn't sweating like a pig!)

Managed to grab a few good deals...

We had nice Halal Siamese lunch (in Nana area,there are many Halal restaurants here!) and I had another servings! The true blue Siamese Tom Yam! Voila!!

It's cruising time!

We took the boat along the Chao Phraya river and stop at the Maharaj Pier where we were heading to the Grand Palace. It's damn hot but berbaloi!

P/S: Maharaj Pier is one of the stop (it's like CHong Nonsi station but for "boats". Hehehe!)

Bangkok - 1st Day

Day 1 - Thursday, 7th May 2009

I was nearly "kantoi-ed" at the immigration. Blame it to the toiletteries.

Ended up my beloved shower gel (dah nak abis, tapi aku rasa the custom officer purposely ambik --> ended up she'll use it i think, although it's for MEN, but because of the brand, anything will do!).

Me, Kam and KZ (Kam's friend) had late lunch at the kopitiam. The waitress was a bit slow, and Kam ended up to be a bit pissed off with her. Anyway...i wasn't there to make any scene, just want to get over with it.

We reached BKK around 8 p.m. Suvarnabhumi airport is huge, and i guess the distance is about the same as KLIA to the inner city of KL.

Our hotel is located just in front of BTS (Bangkok Train Station) Chong Nonsi. ER dah bagitau aku that it'll be easier for me as the station is so near (senang nak gerak ke mana2..)

But I can see that the area was a bit quiet and I don't know why. It's just in front of the main road, but it's bloody quiet at that time! Probably Bangkok people just stay inside and didn't really go out.

Right after checked-in, we went out for supper. My God..i couldn't imagine that we just walked and walked and walked, passing through the alleys etc (with the stray dogs "playing around" here and there!). We ended up having dinner at Indian restaurant (it's suck, but we had no choice at that time!)

Left for the room almost 2ish. We'll be having another fun day tomorrow i.e. SHOPPING! ;-)

Yeap, if looking at the trend, it looks like there's only 1-2 entry per week.
And I don't deny that..

Pretty much busy, and probably there's nothing much interesting news to be updated. :-(

As a summary, here are the updates for the whole week:

1) Kam finally managed to persuade me to join him to the trip in Bangkok this coming May, yay!!
2) I managed to assist two of my friends to get through their assessment.
3) Volunteering myself to man the booth during the recent accounting careers' fair at Mid Valley.

4) Bought some books...hahahah...i'm loving it!

5) Mentally tiring appraisal time...*sigh*

Foot Reflexology

Dear Beautiful readers,

After having dinner all by myself (a nice vege fried riceI) at the nearby cosy Indian restaurant, I met Kar at the foot reflexology centre. We had a one hour foot massaging session, which was quite good! (it's my second time here)

The funny thing was our masseurs hail from the mainland China, and guess what, of course they'll converse in the pure Mandarin dialect! Kar said she also not that fluent in Mandarin, but able to understand a number of phrase. Being me who is totally suck in Chinese dialects, I just keep my mouth shut and asked Kar to translate whatever they were talking. Another funny thing was, even this is my 2nd time, I couldn't stand the ticklish and painful sense, probably because my foot is really aching. I can't stop laughing whenever the masseur "tickles" me!

Anyway, i'll make a frequent visit to this place, probably at least once month.

And at the same time, should have started my new exercise regime!
